Robert Mateusz Marciniak

Robert Mateusz Marciniak a self taught Polish Artist based in Athens Greece, embodies Anticlone through exploring the necessities of living rather than not solely existing. This factor is the push which enabled Robert to have the courage to focus solely on their natural ability and skill of sculpture and ceramics.

 

Robert's artist and creations all evolved throughout The Lockdown in 2020, The tempo of craftsmanship enabled the loud noise of societies tempo to be silenced . This is apparent in the linear unique outcomes of each creation.

STONEWARE SERIES 

Sculpture 2020

Robert's exploration and process whilst creating  his first collection, all Untitled, illustrates Robert's need to explores and capture the visual movement explored through negative and positive space, toy with the idea of bottomless funnel structures. Alongside geometry Robert is drawn to the continuity of repetitive rhythm depicted with engraving.

 

Without intention, Robert's natural ceramic and sculpture eye is clearly represent with each piece. The viewer is able to discover how he is naturally intruged by the idea of the unearthed objects, entombed under the sea bed and exhumed from their seafloor grave - exploring the tones accumulated on them with time.

Each unique piece is hand-built, exploring ceramics Robert's sculptures process starts with preparing spherical objects - which later undergoing the process of engraving evokes a meditative value and reflects the repetitive pattern of Robert's days passed, either from the past or experiencing confinement during the 2020 lockdowns vs the viewers life experience gone by.

 

Robert mix's professional skills alongside fundamental knowledge of materials.

Robert's belief is all finished works,  form apart from dramatic undertone which should have a sense of purpose.
