Robert Mateusz Marciniak

Robert's works are unique and hand built from stoneware and meticulously glazed. Each piece is created as individual works of art, and purposeful as ceramic faces, or simply as sculptured art pieces.

The  collection consists of stoneware bodies, glazed with flat and textured black, red, pink and Ox blood tones, glazed with transparent gloss, both, inside and outside. Limited edition 1 OF 1 works, sculpted and created exclusively for The Anticlone Gallery. Each vase is handcrafted in Athens, using hand-built techniques awarding a unique finish to every piece

Owing to the artisan's idea of each individual piece having a sense of purpose this ceramic can fulfil the purpose of vase or be solely displayed as an art piece. Each contemporary solid shape combines elements which have linear shapes, repetitive rhythm and horizontal engraving influenced by Robert’s childhood memory of post-communist architecture in Poland.
